Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Quant Ladder collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what's needed to run the product, we don't sell data, and we use privacy-respecting analytics.

1. What we collect

  • Account data — email address, name, and authentication data, managed by our identity provider (Clerk).
  • Practice data — question attempts, timings, hint usage, mental-math results, simulator sessions, streaks, and onboarding preferences (target firms, focus areas). This is the product: it powers the adaptive engine and your progress pages.
  • Billing data — subscription status and plan, processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Usage analytics — aggregate, privacy-respecting page analytics without cross-site tracking or advertising identifiers.

2. What we use it for

To operate the Service (adaptive question selection, streaks, progress stats), to bill subscriptions, to send transactional email (welcome, receipts, optional streak reminders you can turn off in settings), and to understand aggregate product usage. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Processors we rely on

Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Each receives only the data needed for its function.

4. Retention and deletion

Practice data is retained while your account exists so your history and stats keep working. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our database within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or accounting purposes. To delete your account, contact support@quantl.app.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us and we'll honor these requests for everyone, regardless of jurisdiction.

7. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced by email or in-product notice before they take effect.
